On Saturday June 1st, church volunteers began Phase 1 of our prayer garden. A garden bed was developed around the base of birch and mountain ash trees growing in our yard. Four wheelbarrows were going steadily moving the pile of top soil to the garden bed. But many hands made light work and after four hours we had a wonderful and attractive bed of hostas to show for our labour. As well the garden bed at the front of the church received some TLC and was refreshed with new plants and mulch. The Sunday School painted some rocks and are ready for installation as prayer points in the garden. Other plans are in the works for this summer. Stay tuned as we continue to develop this space.
